MT-16 is a Monocular Brightfield Compound Microscope equipped with a built-in digital camera is Meiji Techno’s line of affordable teaching microscopes that have a simple student friendly ergonomic construction.

These student microscopes are built to last, year after year. The magnification of this Monocular Compound Microscope with integrated digital camera ranges from 40x,100x,400x and 1000x. Ideal for biological use, this microscope is used by K-12, Middle School and High School Laboratory. This type of microscope requires that the specimen be mounted on a slide and held in place with stage clips.

The MT-16 is a Monocular model that only uses one eyepiece when viewing the specimen. The MT-16 is Meiji Techno’s entry level biological series which is light weight and inexpensive. One of the biggest benefits of owning a light microscope with a built-in camara is its simplicity and its convenience in projecting the image on a monitor or PC. A compound light microscope is relatively small, therefore it’s easy to use and simple to store, and it comes with its own light source. Moreover, because of their multiple lenses, compound light microscopes are able to reveal a great amount of detail in samples. Even an inexpensive one can reveal an incredible view of the world that would be impossible to explore with the naked eye.      Eyepiece (Ocular Lens) - Lens closest to the observer’s eye, magnifies the primary image formed by the objective lens. Locked in Secured DIN WF 10x/18 mm eyepiece with pointer on Monocular head

     • Quadruple forward-facing objective nosepiece on ball bearings - Revolving turret which holds objective lenses, permits changes of magnification by rotating different power objective lenses in the optical path

      All models are equipped with Achromatic DIN Semi Plan corrected 4x/0.13, 10x/0.25 and S40x/0.65 and S100x/1.25 objectives
   • ANTI-FUNGUS COATING
      All optical parts are anti-fungus treated for mold prevention

      Plain 123 x 119 mm plain stage microscope where the specimen slide is placed

      Two stage clips hold specimen slide in place on stage. Microscope stage is specially drilled and tapped to accept standard stage clips

      Low positioned Ergonomic Coaxial Focus Control with 200 µm fine adjustments, 2 µm precision, located on each side of arm, raise or lower the stage to bring specimen image into focus. Fine Focus knobs (smaller knobs situated below coarse focusing knobs) allow more precise image adjustment
   • ILLUMINATION
      Microscope is equipped with sub-stage built in LED illumination which provides variable intensity light and low power consumption. 1 Watt with internal power supply
   • ABBE CONDENSER
      N.A. 1.25 with iris diaphragm lever for height adjustability, provides a more sophisticated method of controlling the sub-stage illumination, and assists in obtaining optimum image resolution and contrast
